Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is a third person shooter game developed and published by Rockstar Games. It is the sequel to the 2001 Max Payne and continues the same story. It uses Render Ware game engine to render excellent graphics. Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne was released on 15 October, 2003 for Windows; 25 November, 2003 for Xbox and on 2 December, 2003 for PlayStation 2. Even though Max Payne 2 borrows the similar story that of its predecessor but it differs vastly from it. The graphics are more enhanced and original than its predecessor Max Payne. Now the in-game characters are tougher including Max Payne which gives it run and gun genre. Max Payne 2 features a new Bullet Time system that triggers the time at which bullet will be released and Max can fire relatively at faster speed. The game also includes Havok Physics feature that makes interactions between the characters more realistic. It is one of the notable features of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. Other than Max Payne, the characters are Mona Sax, Vladimir “Vlad” Lem, Vincent, Alfred Woden, Valerie Winterson, and Jim Bravura. Usually the Max Payne 2 is viewed from the Max perspective but some scenes are also viewed though Mona Sax point of view.

The game has single player, co-op and multiplayer modes but the game focuses more on the multiplayer part rather than the single player campaigns.
